i believe natural curl & a leopard print belt are definite necessities when working a career fair booth.

In just four weeks, our company (read: 30 participants) has lost a total of 150.4lbs!  

for a Monday morning, when a lot of the country isn’t working (hello, President’s Day), I think this is pretty great news.

daily outfit: the “dressing up t-shirt & jeans since 1984” edition.

i’ve recently added “Wellness Champion” to my work resume-

i kind of felt obligated to join the initiative since i occasionally test the waters with working out, 

obtained a fitness-related Bachelors degree,

& used to be an avid Biggest Loser tv viewer- more for Bob Harper’s adorableness, less for watching people lose weight, but regardless, it should be justified.

& so i digress.

the point is, the other day at work we took a snapshot for our newly formed group, 

i was told to wear the adorable t-shirt & once again, i realized, 

it’s impossible for me to simply wear a t-shirt & jeans to work.

Slingshot SEO holds an annual cookie contest at which point the true bakers in the company are revealed.

I scoured the internet time & time again hoping to find the perfect cookie recipe.

In the end, I settled for the “Fat Little Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies with Chocolate Ganache” from How Sweet It Is!

they weren’t too difficult to make (the waiting time before fluffing the ganache was the most challenging part) & the end result is definitely worth it!

if you love peanut butter & rich chocolate, 

i would definitely recommend these!

my alarm went off at 5:45 & i thought to myself, “it’s real early & i’m real comfy.”

& then, after two snooze hits, i realized i needed to get up in order to make my way to Cafe Patachou.

this morning, i met up with [some of] the ladies of Slingshot SEO for our inaugural “Women of Slingshot” breakfast.

it was nice to interact with co-workers i don’t often talk to on a daily basis,

plus the egg white omelette, the cup of fruit, the homemade whole wheat buttered toast, & the Chocolate Fudge coffee to-go didn’t hurt either!

& please, don’t mind the oversized sweatshirt. it may not be so form flattering (hello, marshmallow puff!), but at 7 a.m. it was oh, so comfortable!

thursday confession: for those of you who have been asking/those of you who are interested, this SEO company is where i spend forty+ hours a week, Monday through Thursday.

the adventure started back in february.

since then,

there has been a casual cocktail here & there,

major employee appreciation,

a serious race car race,

the wearing of slippers to the office,

celebration of holidays,

“egg”ceptionally difficult egg hunts,

excuses to bring in candy...& cake,

crafting,

kindness,

the sharing of sweet treats,

& so much more.

every day is different

& every day is eventful.

i’m really grateful for this gig.
