daily outfit: the “#SchoolBreakfast" edition.
at 4:15 this morning, my alarm sounded… or was it the text from my co-worker?… either way, by 4:20 i was up & at ‘em getting ready for our nationally localized #SchoolBreakfast event.
as part of National Breakfast Week, we had the honor of hosting an event in Indianapolis that would potentially highlight the importance of breakfast for kiddos.
only 38% of teenagers consume breakfast on a regular basis, & that is pretty darn crazy.
with the help of the Colts mascot Blue, Colts cheerleaders, Colts alum Gary Brackett, a few radio personalities & the local news, the American Dairy Association Indiana threw one heck of a breakfast celebration.
on the menu? homemade chocolate chip banana muffins, fruit & yogurt parfaits, fresh orange slices, & of course, Milk!
it was an early, early morning, but by 8 am, we were so thrilled with the turn-out, nothing else mattered!
one heck of a way to start the day.
daily outfit: the “Robin Hood" edition.
within two minutes of arriving in the office, my lovely co-worker said i was dressed like Robin Hood.
compliments may not be her strong suit, but i appreciate the reference.
happy thursday, i’m off to listen to some Bryan Adam’s “All for Love.”
daily outfit: the “clingtastic" edition.
an hour after taking this picture, while traipsing through an elementary school, i realized my tunic/dress had risen to the length of a vegas go-go dancer’s hot pants.
thank goodness for leggings…& a parka i could throw on for cover before locating my static guard.
daily outfit: the “pop of pink" edition.
sometimes, it’s nice to make a statement…even if it’s through the use of a hot pink shirt.
after a 9:30 bed time last night (i haven’t gone to bed that early since the last time i had the flu) & an early wake up call for cardio,
it only seemed right to bring some color into today’s look.
daily outfit: the “Happy Valentine’s Day" edition.
there aren’t too many pieces of clothing in my closet that are deemed “appropriate for Valentine’s day” — i mean besides my pink panther-inspired everything.
however, this lip-smacked sweater definitely fits the bill.
so, why not?
i hope you’re having a lovely day & are dressed for the day, as well….if you’re into that sort of thing*.
*i’m the daughter of a very creative teacher who has always dressed for holidays. as much as i sometimes attempt to deny that festive gene, it still manages to creep up. i should probably stop fighting it.
