In today’s Indianapolis Star there’s a feature* inside the Living section about memorable gifts-

Love, Loss, and What They Wore: four local women share stories of significant life events through clothing

I’ve been a big fan of Leslie Bailey's work for many, many months so when she recently tweeted that she needed stories for an upcoming column,

I submitted my own.

a quick phone call later, i shared my brief story & here we are…

my first Indy Star appearance.

Spring of 2011 was a challenging time for my whole family but cracking open this morning’s paper provided a moment to reflect on how far we’ve all come.

Hi! I'm Brooke. Indianapolis is my home & I welcome you to my little nook. I'm a twenty-something girl who was born in the land of corn (Okl.), attended undergrad in the true Sea of Red (Neb.), & eventually found her way back home again after picking up a couple letters behind her name (Kan.) while clinging to an adorable Maltipoo named Bentley. Thank you for stopping by & please feel free to leave a comment (or ask a question) under the "Be Kind" tab at the top... xo, B
