daily outfit: the “i love Tucker" edition.
the following is a true tucker-loving story:
the Tucker for Target line came out a couple years ago & when it did, i was just a lonely grad student who somehow justified buying two out of the three possible silk, shirtdresses.
i dearly loved the two that i bought,
but i always longed for the third-the Tucker signature-diamond print-navy & raspberry lover.
after seeing it on an episode of Oprah: Behind the Scenes (low point?) & on the body of one of my favorite bloggers, Miss Julie, (is this creepy?) i decided to do what any sane fashion-loving girl would: start a mad eBay search.
over the last couple years, i have typed “tucker for target” into the eBay search bar more times than i should probably admit, i’ve “watched” the dang dress until the price seemed way too unreasonable for a once Target-priced item, & even considered buying one dress that was three sizes too big, because i thought paying triple the price for alterations might have to be my only choice.
then came this last week.
what a glorious week it was.
sometimes, when luck is consistent, you naturally test its limits.
& so i did, in the form of eBay.
low & behold, there was my dress.

the right size, the right price, & finally the right time.

they say timing is everything,
& in the case of this dress,
i know i’ll appreciate it more so than i would have two years ago.
at least that’s what i’m telling myself.
case closed.

Hi! I'm Brooke. Indianapolis is my home & I welcome you to my little nook. I'm a twenty-something girl who was born in the land of corn (Okl.), attended undergrad in the true Sea of Red (Neb.), & eventually found her way back home again after picking up a couple letters behind her name (Kan.) while clinging to an adorable Maltipoo named Bentley. Thank you for stopping by & please feel free to leave a comment (or ask a question) under the "Be Kind" tab at the top... xo, B
